Meet ‘Dolly’ the ‘Grand Mom’ (Daadi) at ‘Vyaan Art’!
Uttarakhand’s First Certified Zentangle Teacher!
Rashim Bhargava CZTEU4 likes to be known by her childhood nickname ‘Dolly’ once again, after 5 decades or so just because her grandsons call her that now! Vyaan means ‘the life-giving air circulating in the body’ and is a combination of her two grandsons’ names. ‘Vyaan Art’ is for them, for you, and for me! This whole idea of Vyaan Art started as a fun, totally unplanned, and how and when it became a platform to share and spread the creative joys of the Zentangle Art form is difficult to pin down.
Born and brought up in the multicultural city of Lucknow, she did her schooling at Loreto Convent, Lucknow. Dolly did her graduation from Lucknow University and went on to pursue a master’s degree in Geography from Allahabad University. She also holds a master’s degree in Education from Meerut University.
For over three decades she successfully ran a Boutique of Furnishings at Roorkee and held several exhibitions at Delhi, Ghaziabad, Dehradun, Saharanpur, and Haridwar. Designing and fabricating in her own unique, creative style, which were so well appreciated by all!
She was the first lady to join the Rotary Club of Roorkee Midtown. She served the club and society in various capacities and had the privilege of being the President of the Club in its Silver Jubilee Year!
When Principal Rashim Bhargava, Army Public School No1 Roorkee, laid down her pen with deep contentment and pride after over two and a half decades of dedicated service: she never thought she would pick it up again and that too to teach tangling and come up with some beautiful artworks. However, some of the best things in life just happen with the flow and it’s best to sail along!
Always a learner she is more than happy to don a new hat now – that of a Certified Zentangle Teacher and combine both her passions of art and teaching into one and spread the joys and creativity of the Zentangle Method with all, which she has personally experienced.
About Vyaan Art
Vyaan Art is a venture by CZT Rashim Bhargava. She is Uttarakhand’s first Certified Zentangle Teacher and has done her certification from Conzentric Europe, Germany. Conzentric is authorised by Zentangle Incorporated, Rhode Island USA to conduct the traning programme.
